How We Work
Financial Advice Should Create Clarity - Not More Complexity
The best advisory relationships begin with understanding. We take the time to understand what matters to you, what concerns you, and the decisions ahead before recommending a course of action.
Our responsibility is to bring the pieces of your financial life together, explain them clearly, and help you move forward with confidence
Advice That Evolves With Your Financial Life
Our role is to bring clarity, structure, and confidence to your financial life.
OUR STANDARD
What you should expect from TriState
KNOW - We know before we ask.
We prepare thoroughly so your time is spent moving forward, not repeatedly reviewing information we already have.
UNDERSTAND - We understand before we recommend.
Behind every financial question is a human question. We work to understand both.
SIMPLIFY - We make complexity understandable.
You should understand what we are recommending, why we are recommending it, and the tradeoffs involved.
DECIDE - We create clarity around important decisions.
Our role isn't to make decisions for you. It's to provide the context and judgment that allow you to make them confidently.
IMPLEMENT - We help move recommendations forward.
Advice only creates value when it becomes action. We help coordinate the people and steps necessary to move the plan forward.
ANTICIPATE - We look ahead.
Your financial life continues to evolve. We proactively identify decisions, opportunities, and risks before they become urgent.
Conversation → Discovery → Strategy → Implementation → Ongoing Stewardship
ONE RELATIONSHIP. DIFFERENT LEVELS OF COMPLEXITY.
Every client's financial life is different. Some relationships center primarily on ongoing planning. Others require integrated investment management, tax coordination, estate planning, business-owner strategy, or multigenerational oversight.
Rather than asking you to select a package, we'll first understand what you need and then recommend the appropriate relationship.
Our relationships are structured based on the depth of advice, complexity of planning, and level of service involved. Some clients are best served through an annual planning relationship. Others benefit from a fully integrated wealth management engagement. And for a select number of families, we offer a more elevated level of strategic coordination through Family Stewardship.
We will always discuss fees clearly up front, so you understand how the relationship works and what is included.
Not Sure Which Relationship Is Right For You?
That is exactly what an introductory conversation is for.
We will learn more about your goals, priorities, and level of complexity, then help determine which service model is the best fit for your needs.
